LSUS Pilots Gear Up For A Weekend of Conference Action

The Pilots are gearing up for another busy weekend of athletics, with volleyball returning to the Dock for a pair of RRAC matchups, men’s and women’s soccer programs traveling to Houston, and bass fishing competing in Arkansas.

Volleyball Returns To The Dock

LSUS Volleyball  (10-9, 5-3 in the RRAC) returns to the Dock this weekend for a two-match series against Louisiana Christian (5-12, 4-4 in the RRAC.) The Pilots will take on the Wildcats Friday, Oct. 9th, at 6 p.m before returning to the Dock Saturday, Oct. 10th, at noon. LSUS is no stranger to Louisiana Christian, having already swept them earlier this season on September 5th at the Big Easy Blastoff in New Orleans, with Tamara Bojanic and Logan Hamilton leading the charge and recording 10 kills a piece.

The Pilots are coming off a weekend split against Our Lady Of The Lake in San Antonio, dropping Friday’s match in four sets before bouncing back Saturday afternoon with a four set victory.

Bojanic, who leads the Pilots with 179 kills on the season, was recently named RRAC Attacker of the Week, while freshman Savanna Young earned RRAC Defender of the Week honors. Young leads the Pilots with 237 digs on the season.

Saturday's match will also be the Pilots first ever “White Out” game of the season. So if you’re planning to be in attendance for the match Saturday afternoon, please wear white as a way to "white out" the Dock to show your Pilot pride. As always, admission for both home matches this weekend are completely free of charge thanks to our sponsor from Whataburger.
